Woodland Restoration... Enlisting volunteers to help with everything else- tree and plant maintenance, plantings, repairs and beautification projects, etc. These projects help us enhance the park and make it safer and more inviting to park users. We will be pruning, pulling and piling invasive species that are overtaking the woodlands in Grant Park. Wear long pants, layers, and closed-toe shoes or boots. Wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty- we will be up to our elbows in vines and leaves and you will get dirty! Please bring a reusable water bottle. Court-ordered volunteers are permitted to serve. This project is not wheelchair accessible. This activity is labor-intensive, but very rewarding. You will clearly see the visual impact your work has done in the park. This Community Service Project is currently available in Atlanta, Georgia and approved for Court Ordered Community Service.

Festival Volunteer.... Spring, summer and fall bring about great neighborhood festivals in Atlanta, attracting people from all around the metro area. Volunteering to share information by staffing the booth at these events – all while enjoying the festivities – is a fun way to connect the public. Flyer Distribution... We need help passing out our Free Fitness Flyers! This volunteer would need a car or feel comfortable navigating the city on a bike. Volunteers would pick up flyers at our office and then take them to a handful of locations and take a picture of the flyers placed at each site. Some organizations will also require you to complete an application, a volunteer orientation, a test or sometimes even a health screening test for tuberculosis or other infectious diseases.
